For the last 18 months I have worked for a company that was paying me $70 above the minimum wage, and that there was no room for promotion and higher pay rates. I was also promised bonuses that never was rewarded. The job also involved spending considerable amount of time and money commuting between work and home. It was at the point where I wasn't gaining, I was losing. I have now secured a position in Brisbane, so I am now starting to save money on fuel and motor vehicle running costs. I just need that extra push to get back on financial track again. I would much rather pay a social lending member the interest rates than the banks, because I know it's going to Australians helping Australians.
